ethos

pastoral
Pastoral care is taken seriously. A vertical house system, weekly house lunches, regular debates and sports competitions support community. A buddy system pairs sixth-formers with Year 7s. Year 12s run a peer-mentors programme covering leadership training and mental-health awareness. The WellBeans committee within the school council leads pastoral initiatives. The head meets year-group parent reps weekly and invites them into school for lunch. Girls collaborate with St James Senior Boys' School pupils for ballroom dancing and prefect lunches, with plans for further inter-school collaboration.
