Common questions
Are your advisors independent of schools?
Yes. They have no school affiliation, commission or sponsorship. They are paid the same for a booking whatever they recommend.
When should I book an advisor instead of asking the community?
When the question is specific and the stakes are high, such as bursaries, interview prep or choosing between offers. For general questions, the community is usually enough.
What's the difference between the options?
A consultation call (£300) is a video call on one school or admissions question. A shortlist review (£400) covers up to 3 schools in writing, then a follow-up call. Hourly is for tutoring or ongoing guidance at each tutor's rate. Advisors you choose by name set their own prices, always shown all-in. Larger engagements are arranged by our team.
How quickly does it happen?
A consultation call is booked within 5 working days. A shortlist review arrives in writing, followed by a call with your advisor.
Are forum members verified?
Yes. Members verify before posting and we moderate the rooms.
Do schools see what I post in the community?
Public threads are visible to anyone with an account, including school staff. Your child's profile, contact details and shortlist stay private, and we never sell parent data.
Does this replace a traditional admissions consultant?
Consultants typically cost £2,000 to £10,000 a cycle. Most families only need a call or a shortlist review for specific decisions. If you want one advisor for the whole year, our team can arrange it.
What if the advisor gets it wrong?
If paid written work isn't useful for your decision, we redo it with another advisor or refund in full. You can cancel for a full refund until work starts.
