How this is calculated
- Tuition — the most recent annual fee on file for the chosen boarding type. Where multiple year groups exist we take the upper-school figure as the conservative estimate.
- VAT (20%) — applied only when the fee row explicitly flags its published figure as VAT-exclusive. If the flag is missing or the row is falling back to the school's published headline range, we show a VAT TBC or Headline badge and leave the total alone rather than over-state it. Required by HMRC since 1 January 2025.
- Extras — median amount we've recorded per charge type from the school's published fee schedule. Toggle off anything you won't use. Registration, entrance, exam and deposit-style charges are treated as one-off costs rather than annual extras.
- Year 7-13 projection compounds the annual total over seven school years using the inflation percentage you set, then adds selected one-off admissions costs once.
- Each row links to the source on the school's site and shows when we last verified the figure.
