pastoral or faith leader, often available to pupils of all faiths and none.

adult outside the boarding house whom boarders can contact with concerns.

a fee-charging school independent of local authority control. In everyday speech, "private school" often means the same thing.

International applicant

may mean a pupil applying from overseas, a pupil educated outside the UK, a pupil needing sponsorship, or a non-British pupil. Ask which.
