Assessments take place at Ampleforth in the January of the year of entry. For 2027 Entry this will be 15th and 16th January 2027. Children sit papers in Mathematics, English, and Non-Verbal Reasoning. This is followed by an informal interview and an afternoon of activities from our extensive co-curricular programme. Following entry assessments, offers of a place will be made in late January. These are always subject to a good reference from the current Head. Upon acceptance of a place, a confirmation fee is payable (which is refunded at the end of your child's time at Ampleforth).
