Do you accept applications from students whose first language is not English?

Accepted Answer

We do accept applications from students whose first language is not English. However, students should be fluent in English to ensure they are able to keep pace academically with their peers at JAGS and to benefit from the wide and varied co-curricular opportunities offered at the school.

Can I still register my child if I cannot afford the registration fee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The registration fee is not payable if you are currently in receipt of Universal Credit or your daughter is in receipt of Pupil Premium (free school lunches). You should complete the Pupil Premium Registration form, which waives the registration fee.

Can my child be considered for a place if I cannot afford the school fees?

Yes. You can apply for financial assistance to help cover the costs of your school fees. The financial assistance is means tested and more detail about the process can be found here

Do you have any boarding facilities on-site?

JAGS is a day school and does not provide any boarding facilities for students. We can only accept applications on behalf of candidates who are living in travelling distance of the school with their immediate families. Please note that we do not accept applications from candidates living with a guardian.

Does JAGS have a school coach service?

The Foundation Schools' Coach Service drops and collects pupils at all three Foundation Schools from across London, from Kensington to Greenwich, and from Chislehurst to Purley and Sutton. For full details of the areas which are covered by the coach service please visit their website.
