How bursary applications work
- Register your child for a place before the registration deadline — a bursary is applied for alongside, not instead.
- Complete the school's financial form (some schools use an external assessor) with P60s, tax returns, bank and savings statements.
- Many schools arrange a home visit between the assessment and the offer.
- The bursary decision usually arrives with, or shortly after, the offer — before you must accept.
- Awards are reassessed each year, so a change in circumstances can change the award.
