Founded in 1931 ‘to provide tuition for the entrance examinations to Oxford and Cambridge universities and to the British Civil Service’, DLD’s days as a crammer are a distant memory. The college has changed ownership and moved campus several times

In 2025, 20 per cent 9-7 at GCSE; 17 per cent A\*/A at A level (46 per cent A\*-B). For BTECs, all students achieved distinction or merit grades.
