Founded in 1890 by Manchester families seeking equal educational opportunities for their daughters, Withington Girls' School is an all-girls day school for ages 7–18 with 727 pupils. Academics are described as superb and fast-paced but not a hothouse, pastoral care is excellent, and sport is a stated priority.
