From the school
In the school’s words
Assessments take place at Ampleforth in the January of the year of entry. For 2027 Entry this will be 15th and 16th January 2027. Children sit papers in Mathematics, English, and Non-Verbal Reasoning. This is followed by an informal interview and an afternoon of activities from our extensive co-curricular programme. For most pupils joining Ampleforth at 13+ from a UK school, entry is through assessment at Ampleforth in January of Year 6 (or Year 7), and Common Entrance sat in June of Year 8.
