Houseroom Editorial

Our take

Independent girls senior school in Brent for ages 11–16. Non-selective intake, Islamic ethos, lower fees than the London average.

Best for

Families seeking a senior school for ages 11–16, with thinking already on 11+ or 13+ entry.
Parents who want a single-sex environment for their daughter.
Families who value a Islamic ethos in school life.
Families who would rather not put their child through a selective entrance assessment.
Families looking for an independent option below the London average for fees.

Watch-outs

The Islamic ethos shapes assemblies, holidays and pastoral life. Comfortable for committed families; worth thinking about for those of other or no faith.
Single-sex (girls). Comfortable for some children, less so for others — worth a visit on a normal teaching day rather than only an open-day showcase.
