About this programme

Wellington Riding runs week-long junior riding camps for ages 7 to 16 at its BHS-approved centre in Heckfield, Hampshire, during the school summer holidays. Each child has their own pony for the week, with flatwork, jumping, ride-outs and grooming in ability groups of usually up to 8 riders. Non-residential weeks run Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with lunch included, and residential weeks run Sunday 3pm to Friday 5.30pm with riders sleeping in on-site cabins. Riders must register and be graded on the EC Pro booking system, and a £200 deposit secures a place.

  • Riding hat meeting BHS 2026 hat guidelines, BETA body protector (essential for cross country), riding boots with a defined heel. Bedding provided for residential.

  • Deposit £200
  • Fees are non-refundable: cancelling more than 40 days out forfeits the £200 deposit unless transferred (4 weeks' written notice, £25 fee), and within 40 days the full fee is due.
