The inspectors highlighted the school's bilingual curriculum as a key strength, noting that pupils made rapid progress in both Russian and English. In November 2025, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) conducted a Regulatory Compliance Inspection and confirmed that Azbuka met all standards, noting effective safeguarding measures. (findmyschool.uk) The school, founded in 2002, relocated to its current site in Ravenscourt Park, London, in September 2018. As of January 2026, the headteacher is Ms. Maria Gavrilova. In 2024, the school launched the Azbuka Ukrainian Education Fund to support Russian and Ukrainian-speaking refugee children in accessing the curriculum. The school has a capacity of 70 pupils and currently enrolls 59 students. In 2025, the Romanoff Foundation launched a scholarship program for talented Azbuka students. In 2025, Greg Hands MP was named patron of Azbuka.
