About this programme

Les Glénans runs six-day live-aboard cruising courses for 15 to 17 year olds from its Archipel / Concarneau base in southern Brittany, sailing the coast between Belle-Île and Lesconil. There are two levels: Équipier Polyvalent, which teaches trainees to crew in every position on board, and Perfectionnement Croisière (level 2), which builds skills in boat handling, manoeuvres, navigation, safety and life on board. Trainees sleep on the boat, plan menus and shop with their instructor, and share cooking and cleaning; courses start at 13:00 on day one and finish at 18:00 on day six. Prices run from 680 to 815 euros depending on the season; food and the ferry to the islands (34.20 euros return) are not included.
