About this programme

Explorers is Quaystage's 14-day sail camp in Greece for young people aged 14 to 18, combining island exploration with history, culture and marine science. Crews of up to eight Sail Campers live aboard yachts of 46 to 50 feet with a Skipper and Mate, sailing in small flotillas. Sailing is taught by RYA instructors to the RYA syllabus, and no previous sailing experience is needed. Flights to the marina and travel insurance are extra.
Schedule
14-day live-aboard voyages combining RYA sailing instruction with island exploration, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding.
Staff ratio
2 staff (Skipper and Mate) per yacht of up to 8 Sail Campers
Teachers
Qualified RYA instructors teaching to the RYA syllabus.

Entry

No prior sailing experience required; instruction follows the RYA syllabus delivered by qualified RYA instructors.

  • A detailed packing list is sent after sign-up; generally comfortable clothes and good sun protection. Personal travel insurance covering sailing is required.
