In April 2022, Durston House announced a merger with Harvington Preparatory School, transitioning to a co-educational model from September 2023. The Independent Schools Inspectorate conducted a Material Change Inspection in November 2023, confirming the school's compliance with the Independent School Standards and other applicable regulatory requirements. In October 2025, the school underwent another inspection, which also found that it met the Independent School Standards and other applicable regulatory requirements. As of March 2026, the school had 369 pupils enrolled.
