About FreshSteps Independent School
FreshSteps Independent School provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students from Key Stage 1 (KS1) through to Key Stage 5 (KS5), all of whom have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). The school supports pupils with SEMH and additional needs such as communication and interaction difficulties, cognition and learning challenges, and sensory needs. The curriculum is broad and balanced, based on the National Curriculum and adapted to meet individual needs, supplemented with functional skills, social, emotional, and independence training, and skills for working life. The school has new facilities mimicking real-life work and home environments to provide practical learning opportunities. Staff are highly trained to break down barriers to learning and build positive relationships with students. The school has achieved multiple awards including drama championships and outstanding inspection ratings.
